What is the riddle of Supplement plans?  Medigap is Medicare Supplement insurance that fills the void of Original Medicare.  This additional coverage helps you pay some of the remaining healthcare costs, including copayment, coinsurance, and deductibles.  A good supplement plan will pick up some or all of the portion of costs original Medicare does not cover.  Unlike Medicare Advantage, this policy does require a monthly premium payment to the private company of your choice, and it doesn’t always include the additional benefits such as vision, dental, hearing aids, and eyeglasses.  This policy only supplements original Medicare, so it does not have drug coverage.  You would need to enroll in a Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) to receive additional coverage for drugs.
